T20 World Cup Live 2022: Team India won the toss on Sunday and opted to field first. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma said the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal, Deepak Hooda, Harshal Patel and Rishabh Pant have been benched for the game.
India and Pakistan meet in their first Super 12 match in the 2022 T20 World Cup on Sunday. The famous Melbourne Cricket Ground is set to witness one of the biggest blockbusters of the tournament, and best of all, the weather so far is clear and there is no visible sign of heavy rain.

“We’ll do the field first. The pitch looks good, and it’s always good in cloudy conditions. I think the ball will swing a little and we should take advantage of it. The preparations were good. We played two practice games in Brisbane. Time to go out and have fun now. We expected nothing less. “We have seven hitters, three hooks and two spinners,” Rohit said after winning the lottery.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam said he would have chosen the throw first given the overcast conditions. Since they are fighting first, he said the team will be looking to spread around 160-170 in his 20-plus quota.

“Shooting is not in our hands, but we also wanted to launch first. We’ll try to post around 160-170. We’ve prepared well and are ready for this big game. We had a T20 series at home (against England), we played a triple streak in New Zealand, so we’re ready. “We have three fast shooters and two spinners,” said Pakistani Captain Babar Azam.
