The launch of Xiaomi Redmi K40 in China is scheduled on February 25 and it seems that the smartphone will come alone, after which the Redmi K40 Pro is expected to arrive. The price and specifications of the Redmi K40 are already tilted, and Redmi general manager Lu Weibing revealed that this will be the smallest hole in the smartphone yet. Now, the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro designs are revealed in their entirety through images posted on the Chinese certification website TENAA.
Xiaomi Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro on TENAA
Xiaomi Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro will look similar in terms of design, based on photos seen on TENAA. Both phones will feature a small center-aligned hole cutout on the screen and a rectangular rear camera module with curved corners. Reminiscent of Mi 11. Two large camera sensors and two small sensors are visible in the home in both camera systems. Like the Redmi K40 Pro.
Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro specification
The Redmi K40 is expected to have a FHD + display with a 120Hz refresh rate and LCD panel. The smartphone can be powered by a MediaTek Dimension 1200 chipset or Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. The phone can come with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. The device should be based on MIUI 12.5 which is out of the box for Android 11 and we expect to see 5G support as well.
The Redmi K40 Pro is expected to be a more exclusive version and the phone can be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. The device can come with a QHD + AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate and 256GB internal storage. Redmi K40 Pro can also offer 108MP main camera. Other Redmi K40 and K40 Pro specifications remain a mystery for now.
Xiaomi has had a field day at the TENAA office. Earlier today, a Black Shark phone was certified by the authority, and now three more phones have appeared with photos, but no specs. The Redmi K40 series has two Redmi phones, as well as a Mi device, which looks like the Mi 10 Ultra, but perhaps an updated Mi 10 phone with a Snapdragon 870 chipset.
The two Redmis come with another interesting camera design: two large circles, vertically, with two more shooters in two smaller holes between them, sitting horizontally. There is also a simple dual LED flash on the side of the rectangular island.
The original Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra (aka Commemorative Edition in China) came with the Snapdragon 865 chipset and was never made outside of the home scene, which is why we call it “one of the best smartphones that cannot be bought”. “Hopefully this new phone will eventually make it global.
The Redmi K40 phone will be unveiled on February 25, however we do not have any information about the latest Mi phone launch yet.
